PVCC ANNOUNCEMENT: PVCC Event: Astronomy-Star Party

You are invited to join the Paradise Valley Community College Star Party 
from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at the campus observation 
deck.  The PVCC Physics and Astronomy Department is co-sponsoring this 
free event and members of the Phoenix Astronomical Society (PAS) are 
providing telescopes and will be on hand to answer questions.

Participants will view the moon, Mars, Saturn, Orion and the Orion 
nebula, Pleiades, Gemini, Sirius, as well as other galaxies, nebulae and 
global clusters. 

The astronomy observation deck is located on the south side of the 
campus between buildings G and L, just west of the library.  Those 
interested may view a campus map at http://www.pvc.maricopa.edu/campusmap.

Participants should dress appropriately for walking in unpaved areas and 
should bring drinking water.
